Navrongo: Story by Joseph Napoleon Anaaya
The newly elected Navrongo Central Constituency Chairman of the New Patriotic Party, Solomon Kwovia Navanse, has started working with a powerful tribute to his mentors and a call for party unity after the constituency election.
Mr. Navanse expressed gratitude to the late Kofi Adda, former Member of Parliament for the Navrongo Central Constituency; Paulina Tangoba, former Upper East Regional Minister; and Alhaji Abdallah Otito Achuliwor, the party’s parliamentary candidate for the Navrongo Central Constituency in the 2024 election.
“These individuals shaped my political life; they turned my dreams into reality. For that, I call them my political godfathers and godmothers because they gave me their blessings and unwavering support,” Mr. Navanse said.
Looking ahead, Mr. Navanse called for reconciliation within the party, acknowledging the effect of past mistakes on the party’s performance in 2024, adding, “… forgiveness and unity is the way forward.”
“We need to reconcile with each other. We have stepped on each other’s toes, but we must forgive one another if we are to win power and form government in the 2028 general elections.” He stated.
The newly elected Chairman of the NPP urged all dissatisfied party members to return and support the new leadership. He emphasized the importance of unity in the rebuilding of the party to reclaim power in the 2028 elections.
Mr. Navanse’s message of healing and gratitude comes at a crucial time for the New Patriotic Party in Navrongo Central Constituency, signaling a new era of leadership focused on collaboration and collective progress to secure victory in future elections.
