Former NDC Upper East Regional Deputy Communication Officer, Casper Sunday Kampoli, says the party can retain its 15/15 parliamentary seats in the region through data-driven strategies and a strengthened media and communications structure.

Mr Kampoli made the remarks as he declared his intention to contest the NDC Upper East Regional Communication Officer position.

He says the 2028 general election will require a more strategic approach to political communication, with the party relying on data, facts and proactive messaging to effectively communicate its achievements and policies to voters.

Mr Kampoli, who served as Deputy Regional Communication Officer from 2018 to 2022, says his previous experience coordinating the party’s media front and engaging grassroots communicators gives him the understanding needed to lead the regional communications machinery.

According to him, political communication has evolved into a contest of narratives, making it necessary for the NDC to strengthen its presence across both traditional and new media platforms.

He says, if given the mandate, he will empower grassroots, branch and constituency communicators, while equipping them with timely information and effective messaging tools.

Mr Kampoli also plans to strengthen media monitoring and the use of data to help the party identify issues, respond to misinformation and communicate government policies in simple and compelling ways.

He believes a coordinated communication strategy will be critical to sustaining the NDC’s electoral gains in the Upper East Region.

“2028 election requires perfection in telling the RESET AGENDA narrative in every aspect of our political communication.”

Mr Kampoli is therefore seeking the mandate of delegates to lead the regional communications team under the theme:

“Strategic Political Communication to Sustain Agenda 15/15.”
