After nearly 12 years as Communications Officer of the Nabdam Constituency branch of the National Democratic Congress (NDC), James Tenga has declared his intention to contest the constituency secretary position.
Mr Tenga says his decision marks the next phase of his political journey, drawing on years of experience in party communication, grassroots mobilisation and organisational work.
Having served as the party’s communications officer for more than a decade, he believes the experience has equipped him with an understanding of the constituency’s political structures and the demands of running an effective party secretariat.
His decision adds a new dimension to the race for the Nabdam NDC Constituency Secretariat, as he seeks to move from communicating the party’s programmes and positions to helping coordinate its administrative and organisational affairs.
Mr Tenga has over the years been involved in communicating the party’s activities and engaging with its grassroots structures, experience he says will be valuable in the secretariat.
His campaign is expected to focus on strengthening the constituency’s organisational structures, improving coordination and making the secretariat more responsive to the needs of party members.
The aspiring candidate says his decision to contest the position is the fulfilment of an ambition he has nurtured for several years.
