A leading member of the New Patriotic Party communication team in the Upper East Region, Johnson Ayine Apasinaba, has officially filed his nomination to contest the Regional Communications Director Position.
The position, which Hon. Peter Ayinbisa is currently occupying, is one position that has attracted so much discussion in the region due to persons who have shown interest in contesting.
Mr. Apasinaba, who hails from the Bolgatanga Central Constituency, is currently a member of the team, after he had earlier served as the Deputy Director of the party’s Upper East Regional Communications. He is seeking the mandate of delegates under the campaign theme, “NPP Stronger Together, for a Better Upper East.”
With the campaign motto “Selfless and Dedicated Service,” Mr. Apasinaba says he is committed to strengthening the party’s communication machinery, promoting unity among party members, welfare for communicators, capacity building and orientation for communicators, harnessing new communicators from TESCON, and enhancing the NPP’s public engagement across the Upper East Region on research-based communication.
He believes that effective communication is essential to rebuilding and repositioning the party ahead of future elections, as communication is the tool for election victory, and has pledged to work with all stakeholders to project the party’s achievements and policies while fostering cohesion within the regional party structure.
His decision to contest adds to the growing list of aspirants seeking leadership positions in the NPP’s upcoming regional executive election, which is expected to shape the party’s preparations and quest for victory in the 2028 general elections.
