The Upper East Regional Communications Director of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), Peter Ayinbisa, has announced his return to active politics after spending nearly three months receiving treatment following a house accident.
Speaking on A1 Radio, Mr. Ayinbisa described his recovery as an act of God and pledged to resume work with renewed commitment to help the NPP return to power.
“It’s been close to two months, three weeks since I left this region. But thanks be to Almighty God that I am back. I’m very happy and grateful that I’m back once again,” he said.
The incumbent regional communications director said he closely monitored political developments in the region while on his hospital bed, including the party’s recent constituency elections, despite being physically absent.
Reflecting on his recovery, Mr. Ayinbisa expressed profound appreciation to Ghanaians, party supporters and well-wishers who prayed for him and contributed resources towards his treatment.
“I thank God, who thought it was not yet my time. He has spared my life because there is still work for me to do,” he stated.
He also acknowledged several party leaders who visited or supported him during his admission at the Tamale Teaching Hospital, including former Vice President Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia, Upper East Regional Chairman Anthony Namoo, Regional Secretary Figo, Daniel Kwame Garba, former MDCEs led by Williams Adum, and Dr. Moses Atinga.
Mr. Ayinbisa was rushed to the Tamale Teaching Hospital after suffering serious injuries in a house accident and remained hospitalised for several months.
Now fully recovered and back on the campiagn grounds, he is seeking another term as the NPP Upper East Regional Communications Director and will face Johnson Ayine and Dr. Samuel Akongo in the party’s upcoming regional elections.
