The 2026 Bongo District Inter-Circuits Sports Festival, hosted at Bongo Soe, ended on a high note with impressive performances across athletics, football, and volleyball as schools from the various education circuits competed for top honours.
In the athletics competition, North East Circuit emerged as the overall champions after amassing 100 points, made up of 52 points in the boys’ events and 48 points in the girls’ events. The outstanding performance earned the circuit the coveted first position.
Zorkor B Circuit finished second with 84 points, largely driven by an exceptional performance in the girls’ events, where they recorded the highest girls’ score of 74 points. East Circuit secured third place with 78 points, completing the top three.
The remaining athletics rankings were:

* 6th Zorkor A (55 points)
* 7th Central East (51 points)
* 8th Namoo B (48 points)
* 9th Namoo A (46 points)
* 10th Balungu (42 points)
* 11th Dua (41 points)
* 12th Beo (38 points)
* 13th South A (30 points)
* 14th South B (19 points)
Among the highlights of the athletics competition, North East Circuit recorded the highest boys’ score with 52 points, while Zorkor B Circuit dominated the girls’ category with an impressive 74 points.
In the football competition, Namoo B Circuit claimed the boys’ championship after defeating Beo Circuit in the final. Zorko B and Balungu shared the third position after the third-place match was not played.
In the girls’ football competition, East Circuit emerged as champions, with N.N. East Circuit finishing as runners-up. North East and Zorkor B shared third place after their playoff was not played.
The boys’ volleyball competition saw South B Circuit crowned champions. Zorkor B Circuit secured second place, while Central Circuit finished third.
The annual Bongo District Inter-Circuits Sports Festival continues to serve as an important platform for identifying and nurturing young sporting talents while promoting teamwork, discipline, and healthy competition among schools across the district.
