Upper East NDC welcomes Ayariga’s ministerial appointment, Agalga’s elevation to Majority Leader

The Upper East Regional Communications Bureau of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) has welcomed the appointments of Bawku Central Member of Parliament Mahama Ayariga as Minister for Local Government, Chieftaincy and Religious Affairs and Builsa North MP James Agalga as Majority Leader of the Ninth Parliament, describing the developments as recognition of their leadership and commitment to public service.

In a statement issued on Friday, August 7, and signed by the Regional Communications Officer, Jonathan Abdallah Salifu, the party said the appointments reflected the experience and dedication both lawmakers have demonstrated over the years.

According to Mr. Salifu, the appointments also represent a significant moment for the Upper East Region, highlighting its continued contribution to national governance and public leadership.

The statement, issued on behalf of the Regional Executive Committee, commended the two legislators for attaining what it described as important national responsibilities and expressed confidence in their ability to excel in their new roles.

Mr. Salifu further urged the two leaders to remain committed to serving the people, advancing the ideals of the party and promoting the national interest.

“The Upper East Region is proud of you,” the statement said, extending congratulations to both Mr. Ayariga and Mr. Agalga on their appointments.

Mr. Salifu signed the statement on behalf of the Upper East Regional Communications Bureau of the NDC.
