The Assembly Member for the Awukabisi Electoral Area in the Bongo District, Apangaboya Ateo Aboga, together with his Unit Committee, has donated learning materials to three basic schools to support pupils facing challenges accessing essential stationery.
The donation included 200 exercise books, 144 pencils and 50 blue pens, distributed to pupils in the electoral area.
The beneficiary schools are Agomo Primary School, Vincent Akurigo Memorial R/C Primary KG School and Bongo-Soe R/C Primary A School.
At Agomo Primary School, the staff and representatives of the School Management Committee and PTA commended the Assembly Member and his Unit Committee for supporting pupils with the materials.
They said the intervention would help ease some of the difficulties pupils face in accessing basic learning materials and support classroom activities.
The Vincent Akurigo Memorial R/C Primary KG School also welcomed the gesture, describing it as the first of its kind at the school.
The school expressed hope that the support would be sustained to complement efforts to improve education in the electoral area.
The Bongo-Soe R/C Primary A School also received exercise books, pencils and pens for its pupils.
The Assembly Member and the Unit Committee say the intervention forms part of their efforts to support education and respond to the needs of communities within the Awukabisi Electoral Area.
The schools have appealed for continued support to address other educational needs and improve teaching and learning conditions.
