BOLGATANGA: Learners of the Holy Family Educational Foundation used an inspiring drama performance to educate the public on the importance of environmental cleanliness and good hygiene during the school’s 2026 Graduation Ceremony.
The thought-provoking drama highlighted the dangers of poor sanitation by portraying a family living in an unhygienic environment where rubbish was left scattered, and waste was not properly disposed of. As the story unfolded, the children in the household fell seriously ill due to the unsanitary conditions.
The performance also demonstrated the financial burden poor sanitation can place on families, as the parents were forced to spend large sums of money on hospital treatment for their sick children. Through the drama, the learners emphasized that many diseases can be prevented by maintaining clean surroundings and practicing good hygiene.
The presentation encouraged individuals and communities to take responsibility for keeping their environment clean by properly disposing of waste, keeping drains free of refuse, and promoting healthy living to prevent avoidable illnesses.
The drama attracted loud applause from parents, teachers, guests, and other attendees, who commended the learners for using their talents to raise awareness about an important public health issue.
Speaking after the ceremony, a parent, Mr. Abdul Alhassan, whose son, Faaiq Wunintira Alhassan, graduated from KG2 to Basic One, described the event as an eye-opener and praised the school for its commitment to quality education.
He said the graduation ceremony, which featured drama performances, poetry recitals, cultural displays, and the presentation of awards, was well-organized, colourful, educational, and entertaining.
“I congratulate the management, teachers, and staff of Holy Family Educational Foundation for putting together such a remarkable event. They deserve a pat on the back for their hard work and commitment,” he said.
Mr. Alhassan noted that attending the ceremony strengthened his confidence in the school, describing it as an institution that places great emphasis on academic excellence, discipline, and the holistic development of children.
He added that the school’s motto, “Passion and Determination for Excellence,” is reflected in the way learners are taught and nurtured, helping to build confidence and prepare them for a brighter future.
The parent encouraged other families seeking quality education to consider enrolling their children at the Holy Family Educational Foundation, urging them to visit the school and experience its conducive learning environment firsthand.
He also commended the strong partnership between teachers and parents, noting that regular communication and home assignments have enabled parents to support their children’s learning and development actively.
